A long car journey, two bored Children and an exasperated driver. Having exhausted all other means by which to tame the terrible twosome, Chris Wheeler resorted to invoking the threat of an all-seeing Santa Claus. When the children asked how exactly Mr Claus would be aware of their behaviour whilst in the back seat Chris uttered six words, “Santa can see through the sunroof!”
As the motorway melee subsided Chris was struck by the idea that an omnipotent Kris Kringle would hear all, see all and know all. As rhymes and verses began to form he quickly set about contacting long-time friend and creative-partner Steve Gunning and the result became their debut children’s picture book, ‘Santa’s Secret Agents’.
This book invites kids and grown-ups alike to go on the (sleigh)ride of their lives as they follow Santa’s highly-trained crack(er) team of elves and discover all of their gadgets and gizmos. Each page of witty prose and wonderfully detailed illustrations means you'll want to revisit it again and again.
Carraway is delighted to be collaborating with first-time children's authors Chris Wheeler and Steve Gunning on their highly lyrical and beautifully illustrated debut picture book that is destined to become a favourite across the generations.
